ThatSMS — Online Singing Contest by Bangali.Network
ThatSMS respects the rights of
songwriters, composers, publishers
and other copyright holders.

Participants are required to submit performances that comply with the copyright requirements stated in the ThatSMS contest rules. If you are a copyright owner or an authorised representative and believe that a performance published through ThatSMS uses protected material without the necessary permission, you can report it directly to Bangali.Network.

Copyright & Rights Holders
Report a Copyright Concern

You can report a performance through any of the following:

🔹 Flag / Report option available on the relevant contestant page
🔹 Email: report@bangali.network
🔹 Phone: +91 78900 57000

To help us identify the material quickly, please provide the ThatSMS contestant number or performance-page link wherever possible.

What Information Should You Provide?

Please include sufficient information to allow us to understand and review your concern, such as:

🔹 Your name and contact information
🔹 The ThatSMS contestant number or URL of the reported performance
🔹 The song, composition or other work concerned
🔹 Your relationship to the copyrighted work or authority to act on behalf of the rights holder
🔹 A brief explanation of why you believe the performance uses the work without the necessary permission
🔹 Any supporting information you consider relevant

Bangali.Network may request additional information where reasonably necessary to assess the complaint.

What Happens After a Report?

Bangali.Network will review identifiable and reasonably substantiated copyright complaints promptly.

Where appropriate, access to the reported performance may be temporarily restricted while the matter is reviewed.

If the complaint reasonably establishes that the performance should not remain available through ThatSMS, Bangali.Network may remove or disable access to the performance and take any further action permitted under the contest rules.

We aim to act on valid copyright complaints within 24 hours of receiving sufficient information to identify and assess the reported material.

Publication Does Not Mean Copyright Approval

ThatSMS performances may be published following successful submission without prior copyright verification by Bangali.Network.

Publication of a performance does not mean that Bangali.Network has independently verified, approved or certified the copyright status of the song, composition, arrangement or other material used in that performance.

Participants remain responsible for ensuring that their submissions comply with the copyright requirements of ThatSMS.

Effect on a Contest Entry

If a performance is removed because it does not comply with the copyright requirements of ThatSMS, Bangali.Network may also disqualify the contestant’s entry.

Where applicable, ThatMic votes, ranking, Top 30 qualification or any recognition associated with the affected entry may also be cancelled.

A contestant number already assigned to an entry will not be reassigned to another contestant, even if that performance is subsequently removed or disqualified.

Responsible Reporting

The copyright reporting facility is intended to help genuine copyright owners and authorised representatives raise concerns quickly.

Bangali.Network may disregard reports that are clearly unrelated, abusive, fraudulent, misleading or submitted in bad faith. We may also request additional information before taking action where the basis of a complaint is unclear.

Submitting a report does not automatically establish ownership of the work or infringement by the contestant.
